What type of wood is preferred for cabinets?

For a stained grade cabinets, red oak, white oak, and other hard wood species rare preferred. For paint grade, poplar and other smooth hard woods.

What type of joinery is used in BCC's cabinets?

For the cabinet's carcass, we use a tongue and groove style. Tongue and groove style is where a joint made by a tongue on one edge of a board is fitted into a corresponding groove on the edge of another board. 

What type of joinery is used in BCC's draws and pullouts?

For the draws boxes and pullouts shelves, we use the dovetail method. This method is named "dovetail" because the joints look like dove tails. The shape of the "tail and pins" in the joint make it nearly impossible to break. Glue is used instead of nails or screws which makes it more pleasing to the eye.

What type of hardware does BCC use?

We offer the Blum's Compact Press-in Door Hinge with soft-close function for the doors. For the boxes and pullouts, we offer Blum's Tandem Plus Full Extension Undermounts with soft-close function.

Are your cabinets standard size or custom fit?

Our cabinets are custom built to fit the opening with no fillers. The cabinets are also built with as many draws/pullouts/boxes as the customers desires. 

Are your cabinets standard depth or custom depth?

The depth is per requested by the customer. We offer a 14 inch custom depth for the upper cabinets (12 is standard). For the lower cabinets, we offer a 25 inch custom depth (24 is standard).

Do you build on-location?

No. The cabinets are completely built in our shop and are taken to site by trailer. We do not built on site in order to decrease disruption in the house and to minimize extra time spent building the cabients.

Can you provide pre-existing door and draw replacement?

Yes. We can match certain features of pre-existing cabinets but can not gaurantee an exact match. We can custom build all new doors and draws if desired by the customer for their existing cabinet carcass.
